Edx Course

        Hey again my dear friends! This time I want to share my online course with you. Among all the activities I've done, I find this one the most useful. Actually I didn't do any activities here, I just attend some courses to gain useful information. There are plenty of courses in the website of Edx and it is completely free to join any course you want. Indeed I have to warn you, if you want a certificate from the course, you have to pay for it. But if you are just interested in the knowledge you will gain like me, I don't think certificate is important for you anyway. Let's get back to my course. I took a course which is called "Public Speaking". In this course, basically, I learnt how to prepare yourself a presentation mentally, then how to prepare the presentation correctly and lastly how to present the presentation readily. Gamification in Education

   Hey again friends! Today I want to talk a little bit about gamification and it's effects in education. In today's technological world, almost every people use technology in different ways. Playing games is one of them. It is very common especially among the young generations. They play games most of their free times and this means that playing games can teach them lots of things if it is used properly. Education should be upon the students's interests so in that sense, games should be used in education to attract their attentions. They know almost every features of the games. Hence it won't be difficult for them to adapt in the learning environment. Besides, they enjoy a lot when playing games. If learning will be done through the games, it will also be enjoyful for them which is a good thing in education general. Teaching/learning environments don't need to be boring, indeed they need to be catchy. In today's world, it is possible with the use of games. Games are also more realistic than the written texts because you don't have to just read and try to comprehend knowledge from there. In games, you actually live it. You create your own path and in the games like Second Life you need to apply your all knowledge to get through. In that sense, you need to add new knowledge to your old ones. Indeed it is not boring like just reading written texts. Consequently, in our technological world, games can be and should be used as a tool of education.

Second Life

   Hey friends! This time I'm going to share my Second Life experience with you. As can be understood from its name, it is like your second life on this app. You can choose your avatar, go whatever you want or you can even do shopping like in the real life. You can also talk with real people all around the world both in writing and in speaking. When using Second Life, you use English a lot. This means that your English will develop significantly. In this aspect, Second Life is very useful in language learning. Firstly, you should sign it and then download it to your computer. After that, you can use it as a real game. I must confess that it is pretty difficult to get used to it at first. But in time, you begin to figure out things and enjoy it. As I've said before, everything is English here. You can learn so many new vocabularies from there. It really helps your English learning process. So I suggest you to at least have a look at it. Mindmeister

     Hey again friends! Today I'm going to share my Mindmeister activity with you. It is a mapping activity. You can add subtopics at any number you wish and remove them according to your wishes again. You can also add videos, pictures or emojis to your topics. At the end of the activity, you can turn your mapping into a presentation. In my own activity, I used emojis because in the other activities I've done, I've never used them. In that case, it is different from the others. I chose Hobbies and Skills as my topic and I gave specific examples to them. I also used emojis to represent them. Nearpod

     Hey friends! This time I'm here with my new presentation which I did in Nearpod. It's very different because you can add lots of things,such as 3D materials, into your presentation which I haven't seen in other applications. There is also lots of picture, giph or video opportunities to add into your presentation. I used animal giphs in my presentation because, as I've said before, I find giphs very interesting. Quizlet

     Hey friends! This time I want to share my first Quizlet activity with you. In quizlet, creating activities is quite easy because you just have write your definiton and choose the languages, it will give you the meaning of the definiton in other language. Also, you can add photos to represent your definitions. The best feature of the Quizlet is that it creates different types of activities for you to play such as matching, listening and writing. Canva

     Hey my friends! This time I used Canva to create my new activity. You can create lots of things such as presentations, social media posts or letters like I did. I created a new year letter. In my letter, I used simple past tense sentences because in this activity, I want my students to learn it. I wrote a letter from a girl's mouth to her parents about what she did in the last year of hers. In Canva, you can also change background, add aything you like such as pictures, different types of shapes or youtube videos to your activity.
