Gamification in Education
Hey again friends! Today I want to talk a little bit about gamification and it's effects in education. In today's technological world, almost every people use technology in different ways. Playing games is one of them. It is very common especially among the young generations. They play games most of their free times and this means that playing games can teach them lots of things if it is used properly. Education should be upon the students's interests so in that sense, games should be used in education to attract their attentions. They know almost every features of the games. Hence it won't be difficult for them to adapt in the learning environment. Besides, they enjoy a lot when playing games. If learning will be done through the games, it will also be enjoyful for them which is a good thing in education general. Teaching/learning environments don't need to be boring, indeed they need to be catchy. In today's world, it is possible with the use of games. Games are also more realistic than the written texts because you don't have to just read and try to comprehend knowledge from there. In games, you actually live it. You create your own path and in the games like Second Life you need to apply your all knowledge to get through. In that sense, you need to add new knowledge to your old ones. Indeed it is not boring like just reading written texts. Consequently, in our technological world, games can be and should be used as a tool of education.
